  • Christian: Why God likes Mountains?

Couple of reasons why God likes mountain .

Like the Lord called Abraham to the mountain . He called Moses to the mountain. The Lord Himself was transfigured on the Mount . He often went to the Mount of Olives to be alone with the Father.

    1. Its higher than all other places
    2. It cannot be moved.
    3. We are alone there .
    4. Its hardwork to climb a mountain.
    5. You can see everything else if you are on the mountain.

  • Christian: God’s timing is the BEST

    John 11

1 A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. 2 This is the Mary who later poured the expensive perfume on the Lord?s feet and wiped them with her hair.[a] Her brother, Lazarus, was sick. 3 So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, ?Lord, your dear friend is very sick.?

4 But when Jesus heard about it he said, ?Lazarus?s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.? 5 So although Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, 6 he stayed where he was for the next two days. 7 Finally, he said to his disciples, ?Let?s go back to Judea.?

    Conclusion:

The above scriptures indicate that sometimes God takes His own time even though He loves us and understands the situation very much. This is for His glory. But be assured of onething, when its God’s timing, it is the best.

  • Christian: Prevailing prayer

    Hosea 12:4

He (Jacob) struggled with the Angel and prevailed; he wept, and sought favor from Him.

    Hebrews 5:7

He (Jesus) offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear.

    Thought

This is the attitude of prayer. Prevailing prayer without giving up. With cries and tears.

    Prayer

Help me Lord to be a man/woman of prayer like You. Thank you for answering me in Jesus name.

  • Christian: Slow to anger

    Proverbs 16:32

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes the city.

    Thought
He who acts based on what he is and not on what he feels like is better than the mighty.

    Prayer
Father I pray that you would enable me to always act based on who I am and not on what I feel. Whatever happens, I am your child and a christian. Help me to consistently act the way I am and not based on the way I feel. Help me to consistently love. Thank you for answering me in Jesus name.

  • Christian: I am with you always

    They :

    - spirit of fear
    - Unclean and ugly thoughts
    - thoughts of defeat
    - thoughts of the past
    - thoughts of being unworthy and sinful
    - feelings or thoughts of pride
    - all temptations under heaven
    - all the powers and principalities of darkness

shall fight with you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you says the Lord to deliver you.

God didn’t say “I will be with you if you are a good person” He said “I will be with you always, I will never leave you nor forsake you”.

It is like a bridegroom promising the bride in the wedding, “I will be with you in good times and the bad”. Christ is our bridegroom, our creator is our husband. He has promised “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. You don’t need to trust your feelings to see if the Lord is with you or not. That is not faith at all. That is sin. Trust in His word and know that He is with you always no matter how you may feel.

Carl Lewis may not feel his power when he is having a cup of coffee. But when he gets on the track, the power is there. There was no one to beat him. Similarly, a believer need not feel God’s power around him always. But when he gets going for the Lord, the mighty anointing is there and the power is manifested.

Faith does not trust in feelings !

    Jesus alone is Lord !!!
